JRI Custom Lures JRI-4 Surface Iron Jigs one of the crowd favorites. Measuring in at 7 inches and 4.1 ounces the JRI-4 is a great casting surface iron with a slightly slower/wider kick that the yellowtail just can not resist. Made of high grade aluminum and with a glossy finish.

Retrieve speeds can vary between a slow and medium constant retrieve, dependent on your fishing conditions (current, swell, wind, boat drifting or on anchor). The JRI Custom Lures JRI-4 are a great jig when fish are keyed in on bigger bait such as mackerel or jumbo sardines.  If you enjoy throwing the bigger surface irons the JRI-4 would be a jig for you.

JRI Custom Lures DW-1 Surface Iron Jigs is one of the West Coast hottest surface iron on the water, a jig yellows feel the need to eat. The DW-1 was born when Danny Wade, one of west coast best jig fisherman out of H&M Landing got together with JRI Custom Lures and out of solid aluminum they created a Jig with a swim action all of its own, one the fish just can not resist on a medium fast retrieve.

JRI Custom Lures JRI-7 Surface Iron Jigs are a medium size surface iron, a great all around jig. The JRI-7 is virtually a smaller version of the JRI-4. A far casting jig and at a medium fast retrieve we have seen this jig get bit when others aren't.  The JRI-7 has a little faster action than the JRI-4 but not as fast as the others, but a formidable weapon to have in your arsenal. The JRI Custom Lures JRI-3 Surface Iron Jigs are the widest kicking jig in the family. An excellent swim action with a very pronounced kick out to one side. It's during this kick out that triggers strikes from followers and non aggressive fish.  Also a great casting surface iron weighing in at 3.3 ounces and 6 inches long. JRI-3 seem to be most productive on a slow retrieve however conditions will determine that, gets bit on the medium retrieve as well. JRI Custom Lures JRI-3 Surface Iron Jig is the one that  the Locals always have at the ready for when they come up out of nowhere. Anything that swims or has fins loves it.

JRI Custom Lures KO Stinger Surface Iron Jigs have more of an erratic action with a fast kick coming to life with a medium to medium fast retrieve speed. This jig casts phenomenally well for its size and is a good one to have at the ready when fish are up and moving quickly across the surface.

When you hook a wahoo, don't stop turning the handle.  Even if the drag is peeling off your reel, keep winding until the fish gets to the boat.  The mouth of the wahoo is so hard, many times they aren't hooked.  They are so aggressive that they hold on even without being hooked.  As soon as the pressure on the fish is released, the fish will simply let go of the lure.
